- <p> The celebrator insisted it wasn't quite his 78th birthday.
- Rather, said former President Ronald Reagan, it was "the 39th
- anniversary of my 39th birthday." And what was all the talk
- about retirement? "Two weeks ago, I went into retirement,"
- Reagan told students at the University of Southern California
- last week. "Am I glad that's over! I just didn't like it. Took
- all the fun out of Saturdays. So here I am, saddled up and
- ready to ride again." At his U.S.C. "coming-out party," Reagan
- said he would campaign for a balanced budget and a line-item
- veto. He also said he would fight for the repeal of the 22nd
- Amendment, which limits Presidents to two terms. Aw, he misses
- the White House already!
